Meet the rosy maple moth, one of North America's most improbably pretty insects. A member of the giant silk moth family (Dryocampa rubicunda, if you want to get technical), it wears a soft sherbet palette of pink and butter yellow and flutters through forests across the US and Canada. This hard enamel pin captures all that color on highly polished gold-plated metal, measuring 2.25 inches from wingtip to wingtip.
